This work continues Aleksandrow’s exploration of silent environments observed during his residency at The Fremantle Arts Centre (2014). This fern was situated on the path between his accommodation and studio during the residency at c.r.e.t.a. Rome. Through subtle editing Aleksandrow uses the fern’s shadow to highlight the passing of time. The transition of the light is altered against a constant audio-scape.
