Artist Statement:  

Luke Aleksandrow is an emerging Australian artist whose practice is concerned around the breakage of ceramic forms and the silence that follows. Aleksandrow graduated from Curtin University in 2013 from a Masters of Applied Design and Art. Since graduating Aleksandrow has been curated into HERE&NOW14 at Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery and exhibited solo shows at FreeRange (Perth), Spectrum Project Space (Perth) and The Moores Building (Fremantle). In the past three years Aleksandrow has also undertaken three residencies at The Fremantle Arts Centre (Fremantle), c.r.e.t.a. Rome (Rome) and Arteles (Finland).
