Hiljaisuus: Four Walks documents four separate walks that were undertaken to small rural towns that surround the Arteles Residency Centre in Finland. The orchestrated silence that is developed amongst the four videos comes to fruition as each video ends; it intensifies the silence present in the final frames. The variation and randomness of the breaks, distort the ambient silence of the collective work.
The forms used in this work were found ceramics selected for their glaze that tonally, represented the Finnish landscape.
