Standing in Silence is a performance-based work where Aleksandrow stands still for the entire duration of each 90 tracks/breaks that made up Breaking Silence (2013), specific to the exhibition at Spectrum Project Space in 2015. It is based on the relationship Aleksandrow has had with the recording of the breakages; he was a lone witness. This video again, removes the experienced silence and draws out the silence that is present; the viewer’s.
